The Desert In Black & White

The desert can be a brutal uninviting landscape. It's hot and dry, and everything that grows there wants to stab you. It's like an alien world. So different from what we see here in Ohio. The unique flora and geography, along with the strange and beautiful manmade structures scattered throughout the seemingly uninhabitable areas, makes for photo opportunities that you can't find anywhere else. The variety of color that can be found are breathtaking but in black and white the desert looks even more dramatic and powerful.

Photos taken with a Canon 6D, using a Canon 20mm f/2.8, Canon 135mm f/2.0, and Canon 35mm f/1.4.
