The Portrait Project

Something that I had been wanting to do for the last year or so has been to compile a massive collection of black and white portraits using harsh lighting and a very shallow depth of field. I set up a studio in my living room and started shooting portraits of my friends. After about a week I opened up the invitation to anyone willing to come over and let me take their portrait. The response was incredible and I ended up meeting quite a few really great people. This is just a small selection of photos from the project, which I consider 'on going' despite the fact that I haven't taken any new portraits recently.

Photos taken with a Canon Mark III, with a Canon 135mm f/2.0
