Out West: Twin Arrows & Two Guns

Our trip was full of spontaneous stops but Twin Arrows and Two Guns were back to back favorites of mine. We knew about Twin Arrows, an old gas station, gift shop, and cafe; but just a little ways down the road we stumbled across Two Guns, a long abandoned camping resort. We didn't have much time to spend at either location because not only was it getting dark but we also had to check in at the Wigwam Motel by nine. Being pressed for time meant frantic photos but the setting sun made for such great lighting that it was hard to take a bad photo.

I was pretty excited to turn the corner and see a Buff Monster piece staring at me.

Two Guns was a complete impulse stop. It was one of the best though.

I had seen photos of this swimming pool before but had no idea where it was. I had actually thought earlier in the day about how great it would be to find this place.

This is actually one of my favorite shots from the trip, something about the old gas station with the darkening sky and the moon overhead.

Photos taken with a Canon Mark III, with a Canon 20mm f/2.8
